Bachelor of Psychology
Sophie Moss is a Registered Psychologist, commencing with Thrive Psychology, at our Newcastle Branch in 2018. She completed her studies at the University of Newcastle in 2012. Sophie divides her time between delivering clinical psychological support to clients, and helping workers who have experienced a psychological workplace injury to return to the workplace. Sophie is experienced in helping clients who have suffered work related trauma (adjustment disorder, anxiety or PTSD) returning to work.
Sophie has a kind, professional manner and is solution focused. She is passionate about the support she provides.
Sophie’s area of specialty is working with clients who are experiencing the impacts of a work-related injuries or incidents (physical or psychological). Sophie also focuses on working with clients to effectively manage symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Sophie utilises evidence-based treatment models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), schema therapy and solution focused brief therapy to assist her clients to achieve their goals. Sophie has a strong client focus and works compassionately, logically, and with a strong ethical foundation to help clients solve problems and improve their lives.
