Ashleigh is a Provisional Psychologist, based in the Sydney Thrive office, with a background in treating anxiety and mood disorders. Having worked for 4 years at the Centre for Emotional Health at Macquarie University, she has previously assisted with providing treatment programs including the Cool Kids Program for primary school children struggling with anxiety disorders.
Ashleigh holds a Bachelor of Arts – Psychology (Honours) and a Masters of Philosophy (Psychology) both from Macquarie University. She is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society. She previously completed a thesis titled “Pre-Treatment Predictors of Treatment Outcome in Childhood Anxiety Disorders” and has published research in multiple journals.
Ashleigh believes in the importance of providing evidence based treatment for clients and assisting them in achieving their goals. She uses a variety of treatment interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. She also has a background in psychometric testing.
